Although our past baseball season did not turn out as well as we had expected coming in, it still taught us a lot that we can use to move forward to be a much better team next season. Our biggest obstacle that we faced last season was adversity. We quickly realized that although our opponents were much more talented than us, we could still compete. Coach Frasco told us that we could compete against other varsity squads, and we did just that, even if it rarely spelled out a victory for us. The thing I loved most about the past season, was being able to be on a team where we could always have fun. With our season containing few wins, it is nice to play on a team where winning isn’t everything, and how we can come back to practice after a tough loss and have fun playing the game that we all love to play. My teammates were great. Practices were always fun, and nobody would have a long face for too long during a game, without somebody cheering him up. I can’t think of another group of guys that I would rather play baseball with. Coach Frasco, and Coach Morrow are both great coaches. They notice the smallest problems with players’ throwing or batting mechanics, and they help you fix it very quickly. They make the simplest play during a game turn into a fantastic play, with their reactions and encouragement, which is a huge boost for us players. My first two years of playing baseball for Heritage were great, filled with many memories and things that I have learned from playing the game, and I wouldn’t trade my time playing here for anything else.
