WELCOME TO HERITAGE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY!

We are very excited about what the Lord is doing in and through our school every day. He has established Heritage Christian Academy as a beacon on a hill; a light that cannot be hidden.

HCA is an inter-denominational Pre-K through 12th grade Christian school. At Heritage, we believe the best foundation we can offer is one deeply rooted in Christ. A worldview that is grounded in the teachings of the Bible will enable your child to face the challenges of society with integrity. All of our teachers are committed to ensuring that every subject is taught firmly on the truth of Christianity, which provides your student with rich opportunities to explore how their faith can have an impact on every area of their life.

WHY CHRISTIAN SCHOOLING?

Investing in a Christian education gives you a chance to ensure that your child is exposed to a godly education in every way possible. By building on the foundations that you, as parents, are laying at home, a Christian education can further solidify your child’s strength of faith through reasoning, researching, relating, and recording.

VISION AND MISSION

The VISION of Heritage is to equip and nurture students to be servant leaders with a biblical Christian worldview who will have an impact on the world for Christ.

The MISSION of Heritage is to offer authentic faith, academic excellence, and a nurturing environment.

3 PILLARS OF EDUCATION

Heritage Christian Academy serves to partner with parents in order to equip students with Christ-like character, love for God’s word, expertise with apologetics, and servant leadership through various academic, educational, and extra-curricular opportunities in which students learn genuine love and respect for one another and demonstrate compassion and concern for others and the world at large.
Heritage Christian Academy strives to provide students with highly effective educational experiences, where students are equipped to reason critically and Biblically and take responsibility for their own growth as servant leaders with a Biblical Christian worldview impacting their world for Christ.
Heritage Christian Academy works to create a dynamic Christian community in which all parent, student, and staff members—past, present, and future—feel welcomed, respected, and valued for their individual Christian testimonies and collective engagement in the ongoing growth and stability of the school and the people it serves.

Welcome to Heritage Christian Academy! We are very excited about what the Lord is doing in and through our school every day. He has established Heritage Christian Academy as a beacon on a hill: a light that cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14).

Our school is built on the foundation of three very important pillars: Authentic Faith, Academic Excellence, and a Nurturing Environment. All of our spiritual, academic and athletic pursuits are a reflection of these groundwork principles. We want each student that attends HCA to personally discover the truths of God found in His Holy Word. It is our prayer that these truths would grow in each heart an Authentic Faith that is world-changing (2 Timothy 3:15-17). This dedication to truth and spiritual growth allows us to reach an Academic Excellence that is truly exemplary. Our students are encouraged in high academic standards and curriculum that challenges them in critical thinking and reasoning (Colossian 3:23). All of this is made possible by our renowned Nurturing Environment (2 Corinthians 3:6). Every faculty and staff member has a unique heart for the students and vision of our school. We take time to listen and do all that we can to ensure that no one is overlooked. If you have never been to our campus in Fort Collins, stop by and see who we are. I am confident that you will be astounded by what the Lord is doing here. I look forward to answering any questions you may have and hope to be able to meet you personally very soon.

Heritage Christian Academy - STATEMENT OF FAITH

  1. God is self-existent, infinite, sovereign, the source of all truth and life. He is the Triune God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
    Genesis 1:1; 1 Kings 8:27; Psalm 90:2, 115:3; John 14:6; Matthew 28:19
  2. God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. Through creation He reveals His eternal power, infinity, diversity and divine nature. Creation is the general revelation of God.
    Genesis 1:1-23; Romans 1:20
  3. The Lord Jesus Christ is God the Son. He is to have the preeminence in all things. The Lord Jesus, the expressed image of God the Father, is the only Savior of the world and the only mediator between God and man. Christ was born of a virgin. He was crucified, buried, and rose bodily from the grave. Christ will come again to establish His kingdom.
    Colossians 1:15-18; John 14:3, 6; 1 Timothy 2:5; Luke 1:34-38; Matthew 1:23, 3:17; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
  4. The Holy Spirit is God the Spirit sent by the Father to mankind. He is the Spirit of Truth sent to teach truth and to guide mankind into all truth. He convicts individuals of their disobedience to God; He presents the righteousness of Christ and convicts the world of the judgment at the cross. The Holy Spirit works in the unbeliever’s life to bring him to Christ and to give new life. The Holy Spirit indwells the believer enabling him to obey God in the process of conforming him to Christ.
    John 14:16-17, 16:7-13; 1 Corinthians 6:19
  5. The Bible is truth, the Living Word, the specific revelation of God to man. The Bible is inerrant, complete and is the final authority over man. Through the Scriptures man can have knowledge and wisdom about God, life and himself.
    John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:3; Romans 15:4; Matthew 5:18
  6. God created man in His own image, after His likeness, for His glory. In his original state man had communion and fellowship with God. Man chose to disobey God. Disobedience to God is sin; thus sin entered the world. This resulted in man’s separation from God, eternal death being passed on to subsequent generations and an imposed curse upon the rest of creation. Because of his sin nature, man omits God and thereby fails to relate himself and his knowledge to God.
    Genesis 1:26, 3:1-6; Romans 1:24-28, 5:12, 8:22-23
  7. Man is given new life and is brought back into a proper relationship with God by personally trusting Jesus Christ the Lord, who shed His blood in payment for sin. An individual is redeemed by God’s grace through faith, not works or service.
    2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 5:1-11; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5
  8. The believer matures into Christ-likeness as he submits to the Holy Spirit and obeys the Word of God. Being Christ-like is evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit, righteous living and good works. Maturing in Christ is a process evidenced by continual growth.
    Romans 8:29; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Galatians 5:22, 23; Ephesians 2:10; 2 Timothy 3:16-17
  9. Prayer is the vital communion between God and man, enabling man to talk with God and to worship Him. Through prayer God’s power and grace are made available to the believer.
    Philippians 4: 6,7; Matthew 6:9–15; James 1:5
  10. Christ has established the church and is its Head. Individuals are to be related to a local church for Christian worship, instruction, fellowship and service.
    Ephesians 5:23; Hebrews 10:24-25

ACSI ACCREDITATION

Since 2000, Heritage has been accredited by the rigorous standards of the Association of Christian Schools International.

To be accredited, HCA voluntarily submits to the demanding process of an ACSI observation team. The team visit is the fourth in a five-step process, with the fifth and final step being the Commission’s decision. HCA has continually proved itself outstanding and was awarded the highest accreditation possible, a five-year certification.

The benefits of accreditation are widespread and have a tremendous impact on the school. First, accreditation ensures that the school is true to its own foundational statements. It also affirms that the school meets standards of quality, which have been established by the international school community. Accreditation also highlights areas in which are in need of improvement, and offers targeted instruction for continued growth in those areas. Finally, accreditation encourages evaluation of all levels of education, from the academic to the biblical and spiritual integration.
