Nicholas Denenberg
Nicholas Denenberg is HCA’s high school english teacher. He is also the yearbook director and digital literacy instructor. Having lived and taught the last 8 years in China, Mr. Denenberg and his family are excited about returning to Colorado, where both he and his wife have roots. Passionate about student learning, Mr. Denenberg is skilled in helping students see the big picture in their learning, in designing effective lessons with not only high engagement but also academic rigor (students use SMART goals and keep a writing portfolio that goes with them to their next course), and in demonstrating his own intellectual curiosity (he and his wife founded and run Wick House Publishing). He has previously taught Honors, Pre-AP, and AP level English language and literature courses; Yearbook, and Magazine and Publishing to High school students, along with coaching soccer.
In addition to his teaching experience, Mr. Denenberg also served as a group leader for both Alpha Course and Anthem House College Ministry and has been able to minister in various countries including Morocco, Mexico and most recently, China. His desire is for students to see God’s goodness and blessings in the talents and gifts each student possesses.
